One day, feeling quite
Wishing for a fair and gay
I met an crone
comin' my way

Her hair was and white
And her shoulders were all
She was such a pitiful
Mumbling to herself as she

I said : « oh my lad,
Will you give me a
A groom you I once had
And love I miss. »

« If you kiss me, » I said,
« I will change into a
With a fair and pretty
And a mouth-drooling ass.»

I thought I had to lose
To find out if her were true
And not some sick ruse
But there's one I had to do

And with her reek
I held my breath and my eyes
And quickly her on the cheek

Where the hag moments ago
Now was a girl and fair
Her limbs were as snow
And shining like gold was her

And we were giddy delight
Of having my love by my

But soon she showed her heart
Always ordering me
Keeping me and my friends
at me like a bloodhound
One day I was fed up
And at last I walked out the
And since then a lonely cup
For I had no friends

Leaving her, I did not
For her had begun to sag
I wish I the day I met
Long ago crazy old hag

One day, feeling alone
Wishing for a lass and gay
A young lad met an ugly
Slowly his way...
