The free wind has sung songs to thy name,
Green caught them with friendly voices,
The sun called its flame to a seed-time far-famed,
The stars poured faith into forces.
And in time of storms, and mighty desires,
Thou budded and bloomed, long-awaited,
In a life-freshet, the land of thy sires,
Thou hast and poured, unabated.
Thou has flooded and poured, in a bright of life,
Through field, woodland, and vale streaming...
From thy native flower-copses thy crown is bright,
a swan' plumage, brilliant gleaming.
Thou dost quiver and with songs of the bards,
Long-past thou dost raise up and nurture,
forward leap thou wouldst never retard,
Boldly facing futures.
In the sun goest bold, lovely flower of fire,
sowing forth dreams, gold-adornd;
Thou fearest no neighbour, great be his ire,
fearest no path briared and thorny.
From end unto end, frontier mound mound,
On the breezes renewal is now,
And, the soul, without limit or bound,
Mother-joy for the better day now.
Now are no axes among forests green,
young pine-trees in frosty winter,
Now there are no reapers dawn to dark seen
In summer scythes ringing, glinting.
Strength is known in the hands, tears songs are blithe,
Desirous of glory, quiver,
In their a new law, with pens of sun-scythes,
New people are for ever.
Blossom them, and raise, upon eagle's wing,
Souls, hearts and thoughts dully,
Awaken and forth into great spaces,
by the witch-noose unsullied.
Send messengers forth, send unto the bound,
As falcon from winging.
Let them fly, fly unto warriors sound,
Set the thunder of good far-ringing.
Enough, dearest country, in field, and brake,
orphan, thou spendst night's long glowering,
Enough of thy heart's-blood wrong as a snake,
And cold blew, through thy bare bones scouring.
Arise from the depths, of falcon-born race,
O'er sires crosses, woes, degradation,
O young Bielarus, thou forth, take thy place
Of honour and fame nations.
