Luyện nghe bài hát I'm Not Country

Eric Michael Jones

I was born in New
Lived all my life
Got a bedroom house in the suburbs
With my two kids and my first
to USC, got a degree
I must have a thing or three
But I learned the right way
To hang a swing from the old oak tree

Im not
I owned a pickup truck
Dont too much or get in fights
been down on my luck
I never rode a painted
Across a meadow with dew
But if Im ever again my friend
the first thing that Ill do

Got a picture of the Smokey
Taped to my office
Down at the pub
I a southern drawl
And put Johnny on the jukebox
Cause he makes my heart
Staring out the at the taxicabs
I think God must have made some mistake

Im not country
Never plowed a of corn
I never rode in an
Or blew the horn
Never made love to my
the sky so blue
But if Im ever born again my
do that too

Ive been to
Paris, Beijing and too
Sip martinis with the jet set in New York
So why am I
Because Id rather be on an old dirt road
Just stones
Ive never been to West
But to me that sounds home

But Im not
just songs on the radio
And I aint goin down to
To Grand ol Opry show
Never wore a cowboy hat or
Or chug-a-lugged a
But youd better believe in my life
Thats the third, fourth and fifth thing Im do

Ill own a pickup truck
I dont too much or get in fights
Never been down on my
I never rode a pony
Across a meadow fresh dew
But if Im ever again my friend
the first thing that Ill do
