Luyện nghe bài hát II (Penance)

That humiliating arbitrary
Your cruelty builds in an endless cycle of
Skin slackens with passing seconds
weakens and softens
Bones stiffen in
Dreams
slough
A blackened pulp of despair
A mind and afraid
Gazes back upon a of waste and regret
Gazes ahead only to t he cold and the

All fall
All will
All fall
All fail

And so with each heavy, broken-backed step I inch closer to my
stiff, sloughing, sagging
Resonating with slow decay like catgut
Draped across a stave of timber

The cathedral looms... Tearing, oppressive,
Cries once in the chapels of cold stone
Where cowled figures dripped with piety
And candles of reverence flickered in the torpid of unanswered prayers

Stoic monolith that bleeds black
Onyx shroud shed like
Penance driven the maw of the soil
Stygian crust that chokes on the of the forgotten

There is no here
Suffocation... Rejection...

A soul slithers in vapid vestibules

Fading notions of once breathed false proclamations
Granite shaped by the of supplication
Myriad visages gaze in
A solemn stands as one
One singular of accusation
Choral, somnolent the marrow
Of a soul laced corrosive regret

Guilty - - Cringing
Crushed by
within the inquisition cloisters
The last shreds of waning thus scatter

I cannot see what lurks within these sepulchral
Emanating whispers of a past condemnations

One past condemnations!

Freezing hands reach - coiling,

My is but dust

And I again
