Luyện nghe bài hát The Monster's Three Wishes

Once lived a little monster
In a far away.
And a very strange happened
As he brushed his one day.

As he squeezed his of toothpaste,
Deepest thunder the skies.
And a genie stood
his very eyes.

"I'm the of the toothpaste,"
Said the genie a laugh.
"I've been trapped inside that tube
For 3 and a half.
You squeezed the and set me free
So is what I'll do -
I'll let you 3 wishes
And I'll them all come true."

"Oh boy!" the monster,
"Wow! 3 wishes for me!
Now let me and then decide
my first wish will be."

Now my thing is cookies,
Thought the with a grin.
But first I'll wish for nice
To keep my in.
I like a million cookies,
But before I use that ...

"Hey, Genie," the monster,
"Will you please me a dish?"

"Will I ever!" the genie,
"For wish is my command."
And instantly a dish
in the monster's hand.

"Hey, I did it!" the genie.
"Wow! I lost my touch!"
"It's a dish," said the monster,
"But it won't hold much."

The monster thought of all the
he'd soon get with his wish.
And he knew a million
Couldn't fit on one dish.

He would need much bigger.
So the said, "Hey, Genie!
I would like a big box ...
plate is much too teeny!"

"You a box? You've got it,"
Said the with a smirk.
And a box appeared.
The cried, "Nice work!"

But the box was pretty big
And could hold of stuff -
Could it hold a cookies ...?
It wasn't big enough.

So the monster called the
And said, "Boy, am I in luck!
Since you'll me what I wish for ...
How a great big truck?"

And right away a appeared
the monster's eyes.
"Fantastic!" the monster.
"It is the perfect size!"

"It will hold a cookies,
And never have to worry.
And that is what I for!
me cookies now! Please hurry!"

"I am sorry," the genie,
"For cookies are delicious,
I give them to you
'Cause you've used up 3 wishes." (love that rhyme!)

"Oh, no!" the monster.
"is it true? I just tell.
For I'm good at eating things,
I do not so well."

"Let us count these together,"
the genie, "and you'll see -
The is 1, the box is 2,
And then the truck 3."
"3 things! You're right," the said,
"Now am I to do?
used up my 3 wishes
And I'm hungry, too!"

"Gee, too bad," the genie said,
"But now my complete."
"I'm so hungry," the monster,
"Oh, I need to eat!"

"I'm sad your for cookies
Can't come true," the said.
"That's okay," replied the ...
" ... I'll just eat the instead!"

And as the ate the truck,
The disappeared,
Saying, "I have seen a lot of -
But boy ... is guy weird!"
