Good all, this Christmas-time,
well and bear in mind
What our good God for us has
In his beloved Son.
With holy we should pray
to God love this Christmas day;
In upon that morn
There was a blessed born.
The night that happy tide,
The noble Virgin and her
Were time seeking up and down
to find a in the town.
But mark how all things came to
>From every repelled alas!
As long foretold, refuge all
Was but an humble stall.
There were three men from afar
Directed by a star,
And on they wandered and day
Until they came Jesus lay.
And when they came that place
Where our Messiah was,
they cast them at his feet,
gifts of gold and incense sweet.
Near Bethlehem did keep
Their flocks of lambs and sheep;
To God's angels did appear,
put the shepherds in great fear.
'Prepare and go', the said.
'To Bethlehem, be not
For there find, this happy morn,
A princely babe, sweet born.
With heart and joyful mind,
The went the babe to find,
And as angel had foretold,
did our Saviour Christ behold.
Within a he was laid,
And by his side the maid,
on the Lord of life,
Who came on to end all strife.
