I saw it one day, Bear mountain picnic was my way. "come 'n' take a trip, We'll bring you up on a ship. the wife and kids Bring the family." Yippee!
Well, I run right down 'n' a ticket To this mountain picnic. But little did I I was in for a surprise. Had to do with mountains. I even come close to a bear.
Took the 'n' kids down to the pier, Six people there, had ticket for the trip. "oh well." I said, "it's a big ship. Besides, anyway, the the merrier."
Well, we all got on 'n' d'ya think, That big old boat started t' More people kept on, That old ship was goin' down. Funny way t' a picnic.
Well, I lost track of m' kids 'n' wife, So many people there I never saw in m' That old sinkin' down in the water, Six thousand people t' kill each other, Dogs a-barkin', a-meowin', screamin', fists a-flyin', babies cryin', a-comin', me a-runnin'. Maybe we better call off the picnic.
I got shoved down 'n' around, All I could there was a screamin' sound, Don't one thing more, remember walkin' up on a little shore, Head busted, cracked, splintered, I was bald, naked. . . Quite to be alive though.
like I climbed outa m' casket, I grabbed hold of m' picnic basket. Took the wife 'n' kids 'n' home, Wishin' I'd never got up morn.
Now, I care just what you do, If you wanta have a picnic, up t' you. But don't me about it, I don't wanta hear it, 'cause, see, I just lost all m' spirit. Stay in m' kitchen, m' own picnic. . . In the bathroom.
Now, it seem to me quite so funny What people are gonna do f'r money. There's a new gimmick every day Just t' somebody's money away. I think we oughta take some o' these And put 'em on a boat, send 'em up to mountain . . . For a picnic.
